Publishing a Test Phone Book to the Server

Publishing the test phone book to the server helps determine that Phone Book Administrator has created the .cab files and database and that there is a connection between the administration tool and server.

Publishing a phone book to the server is a two-step process: creating phone books and then posting them to the server.

To release and post the test phone book database and files

1. Select the test phone book, ByteComp, in the Phone Book Administrator Phone books list.
   
   
2. On the Tools menu, click Publish Phone Book.
   
   
3. Click Create. The phone book, .cab, region, and version files are created and deposited in the release directory, and the Connection Point Services database located in the C:\Program Files\PBA directory is updated.
   
   
4. Click Post to transfer the .cab file and database to the server.
