Establishing a new phone book is as easy as giving it a name and configuring it for the server, user ID, and password. The name you chose for the phone book must match information in the service profile created by the Connection Manager Administration Kit wizard.
| Service flag | Description |
| Sign On | This POP may be used for sign-on. (Must be checked if the access number is to be displayed by Connection Manager.) |
| Sign Up | This POP may be used for sign-up. |
| Surcharge | This POP may have additional charges. (Displays in the More Access Numbers dialog box of Connection Manager.) |
| Modem | This POP accepts modem connections. |
| ISDN | This POP accepts Integrated Services Digital Networking (ISDN) connections. |
| Multicast | This POP supports multicast protocols. |
| Custom 1 | This POP accepts settings specified in the Connection Manager service profile. (Editing the profile for this custom feature will be described in a future knowledge-base article.) |
| Custom 2 | This POP accepts settings specified in the Connection Manager service profile. (Editing the profile for this custom feature will be described in a future knowledge-base article.) |
| DUN Entry | This POP will use this Dial-up Networking entry when connecting. The entry must match the name in the Connection Manager service profile. |
Note
Large phone books containing many POPs and duplicate access numbers may cause Connection Manager to pause slightly before displaying the list of access numbers to the user. It will also take longer to download large phone books.
