Phone Book Service requires access through a Transfer Control Protocol/ Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) connection. Phone Book Administrator posts to the Connection Point Services database using the File Transfer Protocol (FTP), and users access Connection Point Services using the Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) interfaced by the Internet Information Server version 3.0 (IIS) WWW service. Either posting to the server or accessing Connection Point Services requires a Point-to-Point Protocol (PPP), Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol (PPTP), or Ethernet connection.
