Administering Security and Access
Connection Point Services relies heavily on the security and access control features built into Windows NT Server and IIS.
Administering security and access involves the following tasks:
-
Setting up an administrative account on the server. (For information on how to create an account on Windows NT 4.0 Server, see the Windows NT Resource Kit.)
-
Setting up the access privileges for the FTP service on your server. (For more information, see “Allowing Users Other than Anonymous to Connect to FTP Services” in the Connection Point Services Administration Guide.)
-
Setting up administrative permission from the Properties menu for the \Phone Book Service directory. (Windows NT File System (NTFS) only.)
-
Entering the administrative user name and password in Phone Book Administrator to post phone books.
