Windows NT Event Log

The Windows NT Event Log record many events, including those associated with Phone Book Services. Log files can become large over time and should be saved and then archived in order to save hard disk space.

To clear and archive an Event Log

1. Click Start, point to Programs, then point to Administrative Tools, and then click Event Viewer.
   
   
2. On the Log menu, click Application.
   
   
3. In the System Log window, in the Log menu, click Clear All Events.
   
   
4. When asked whether you wish to save the log, click Yes, and supply a location to save the log file.
