Configuring Internet Authentication Services

After you have installed the IAS components, you must configure IAS locally at the console to accept authentication requests from RADIUS clients (network access servers or RADIUS proxy servers).

Note

If IAS is running, stop it and restart it to apply any changes you have made to the properties.

If this is the first time you’ve configured this authentication server, perform the configuration tasks in the following order:

  1. Display Internet Authentication Service Properties.

  2. Set authentication service properties if changes are necessary.

  3. Register clients of this server.

  4. Edit RADIUS profiles as necessary.
