You can use the Network Monitor component of Systems Management Server, or any other commercial “sniffer,” to view authentication packets and accounting packets as they arrive at the IAS server. With Network Monitor, you can detect dropped packets, monitor lack of response from authentication providers, and observe how the NAS interacts with the IAS server.
