10/08/2004: People keep asking me whether I've made maps for Duke Nukem 3D.
Unless you count a few 1-2 sector test maps that I made while testing Polymost
code, the answer is no. I don't know Duke's tag definitions, and I never did.
I've made plenty of maps for Ken-Build though. I included 6 of my maps with
the Build Source code. That was back in June of 2000. Today, I'm releasing 8
more maps for you to enjoy :) In this pack, all maps are 100% my own work.
Don't expect anything pretty. These maps are more about effects, puzzles, and
of course to satisfy your curiosity! I hope you enjoy them.

-------------------------------------

AI2.MAP: I was testing some new AI code with this map. I was programming
monsters to take into account your velocity and distance when they were
choosing a firing direction. They don't always choose this direction though -
as that would be too easy to dodge. The point is: you won't live very long
unless you pay attention. It's a bit easier playing in the 2D view. One more
thing - it's possible to kill all the monsters and pick up their stuff - but
it'll cost you many lives.

MAZE.MAP: The object of this map is to kill that monster that starts behind
you. Did you really think I would make it easy? The map earned its name for a
reason. Hint: you'll need to find 2 switches along the way in order to unlock
some passages.

MDKBOARD.MAP: A map I made while a friend was watching. As usual, it contains
my usual assortment of unfair traps. This map was later merged into NSNOAL.MAP
with traps removed.

NSPIRAL.MAP: An early test of a spiral staircase. It may have been the
inspiration for the staircase in Hollywood Holocaust. This map also serves as
a nice testing ground for raising EvilAl's - when the little guy gets annoyed,
just pick up an airplane and fly around the top for a while ... until the game
crashes due to sprite overflow :} P.S. I know about this and I will not be
fixing it.

OVERLAP.MAP: The first Build map to demonstrate overlapping. The original
filedate of this map should be 05/14/1994. It was modifed due to map format
conversions.

SUBWAY.MAP: The first Build map to demonstrate subways. Mine had fancy doors
but they were limited to a straight track. This map was later merged into
NSNOAL.MAP. The original filedate of this map should be 05/07/1994. It was
modified due to map format conversions.

TRAP.MAP: Hmm.. I wonder what that switch does? :P Once you figure it out,
there's not much else to do with this map other than teasing your friends.

TRAPS.MAP: The object to this map is simple: find your way to the cannon, the
water fountain, and then go back outside. Easy, right? :)
